My name is Bogdan Dudau and i’m the trainer of the Alpin Club Carpatic climbing team (Romania). I’m writing this message because I consider that the time limit of 55 minutes for the U16m and H16m ( 45 climbers ) categories is an uninspired decision that’ll affect the smooth running of the competition and establishing a fair ranking.
The duration of the competition is considerably shorter than the one laid down at the competitions from the IFSC circuit and it also is discriminant as related to the time granted for the other categories.
At the same time, in the situation in which both categories will have the same routes, the participants from the younger age category (U16) will meet problems that are meant to make the difference between the ones from the older category. Surely, the ascension of a lot of the blocks will require more than 1-2 tries ( which is impossible to achieve because of the short time ).
It shouldn’t be taken out of consideration the waist, strength and experience differences between the two categories which are considerably more severe than between any other categories in the competition.
In order to redress all of these issues, I would like to ask you to change the time to 90 minutes.
Hi, we already contacted iRCC organisation and they agreed to 90 minutes. They said they will change times of the schedule.
